Community Policy Specialist, Solid Ground

Will serves as the Community Policy Specialist at Poverty Action’s parent organization, Solid Ground. In this role, he supports community organizing efforts aimed at building more just, equitable, and impactful policy systems in Seattle and King County. He also supports advocacy efforts across the Solid Ground community and helps support Solid Ground programs with issues related to their public funding.

Previously in his career, Will has held a number of roles related to policy, politics, and non-profit strategy with a focus on anti-poverty work, including as the Policy Director for a gubernatorial campaign in his home state of Colorado. In his personal time, he has organized around issues including healthcare access and transit for all. He also volunteers with a King County-based organization providing locally grown and sourced produce to community members in need.

Outside of work, Will enjoys food – cooking it, eating it, and helping to grow it on a local, King County farm! He holds a bachelor’s degree in American Studies with a minor in Economics from Stanford University.
