Erica is the digital community organizer for Statewide Poverty Action Network. With the onset of the pandemic in 2020, much of the world shifted into working, gathering, and creating in online spaces. In this role, Erica strives to build authentic community in virtual spaces that elevate the voices and experiences of those most impacted by poverty across Washington state.

Erica is passionate about centering communities and promoting language access in policy advocacy spaces. She has a background in supporting low-income youth and families of color in accessing and succeeding in higher education (both in person and virtually). In this field she has learned the importance of taking time to build relationships based on trust when supporting folks to achieve their dreams. Some of her most valuable experiences have been when serving Latinx and Spanish speaking families and students.

Erica grew up on Vashon Island and after graduating from high school enjoyed living in various places across the US ( from upstate New York to the Bay Area in California). In 2023, Erica graduated with her Masters in Social Work (MSW) from UW Seattle in 2023 (with a focus in Community Centered Practice and Latinx Communities). Outside of the office you would likely find Erica  enjoying the waterfront with a coffee in West Seattle with her partner and their dog Lilo.
