Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is the governing body of Poverty Action, responsible for oversight and stewardship of our mission, assets, and public trust. Board members build grassroots power and advance economic justice across Washington State. They serve three-year terms, renewable.

We value board members with lived experience navigating poverty or the safety net systems designed to address it, and with deep roots in the communities we serve. Poverty Action actively recruits to ensure authentic representation across those communities – our board strives to be at least 50% low income, 50% people of color, and 50% residing outside of Seattle.
